gamp boosts insurance penetration
Insurtech startup, gamp, has expressed its commitment to boosting insurance with tech as demand for smartphones and computers increases.
A statement said the company expressed its commitment when it partnered with Leadway Assurance to deliver after-sales support, and repair services for devices in Nigeria.
According to the statement, gamp is fast-growing tech company that provides better device protection and support, acting as a one-stop shop for device needs.
The Chief Executive Officer, gamp, Boluwatife Omotayo, said, �The median age of Nigerians is 18. As the demand for smartphones and computers is growing quickly, the need for reliable and affordable device protection and support is also on the rise.
�The partnership reinforces gamp�s position as a leading provider of embedded device protection and related services in Africa.�
Speaking on the partnership with Leadway which led to the launch of device protection plan for Nigerians, he said, �The device protection plan is priced as low as N3,000 per year with the option to subscribe to the monthly, bi-annual, or 12-month service plan.
�The plan covers all types of gadgets, regardless of brand, location of purchase, condition, or model. The plan can be purchased online or in-store from partner stores.�
In the statement, the partnership was aimed at providing device protection for individuals and businesses.
The device protection plan covered the cost of repair of damaged devices for subscribers through any of gamp�s repair centers or Original Equipment Manufacturer accredited partners across Nigeria.
Speaking on the partnership, the Head, Partnership and Microinsurance, Leadway Holdings, Umashime Oguzor-Doghro, said, �This partnership is part of efforts by Leadway to expand access to insurance services by embedding them into the customer�s lifestyle.
�With over 130 million devices in Nigeria today, the need to provide an insurance cover to indemnify consumers against the cost of repairs cannot be overemphasised.�
In the statement, gamp said its white-labeled no-code platform helped partners quickly launch and manage device insurance and support.
�They have hundreds of distribution partners and experience centres across Nigeria, serving thousands of individual and business customers,� it said.
The statement said Leadway Assurance is one of Nigeria�s foremost insurance service companies, with a reputation for service efficiency and customer reliability.
�The organisation is committed to providing innovative ways to equip every Nigerian with the tools needed to mitigate risks while adopting insurance as a top choice for wealth creation,� it said.
