Osun APC gets substantive chairman

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has affirmed Mr Tajudeen Lawal as the substantive chairman of the party.

Lawal had led the party in acting capacity since the erstwhile chairman, ‘Gboyega Famoodun, was installed as the Owa of Igbajo in the twilight of ex-governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s administration.

The Osun APC announced in a statement on Tuesday by its Publicity Secretary, Wole Adunola, that Lawal had been confirmed as the substantive chairman by party executives at their meeting.

“The resolution was taken at a special session of the State Executive Committee meeting of the party, which also had in attendance local party chairmen of the party across the state, and members of the State Working Committee at the secretariat of the party along Ogo-Oluwa area of the state,” Adunola said.

The statement noted that Lawal had led the party “excellently well” since he assumed office, “hence, the justification of the resolution to confirm him as substantive chairman.”

“The chairman has brought to the table his sound party administration of many decades and grassroots mobilisation skill which has begun to galvanise the party’s strength in the state.”
