UK-based skills hub begins African business summit
African businesses, business owners, and investors will converge in Ghana to discuss how networking can be leveraged in a bid to create successful pathways for African-owned enterprises.
The three-day event put together by Global Skills Hub United Kingdom and LION Outreach International United States is aimed at entrenching an annual business summit within the African continent.
This was contained In a statement signed by the Director, Global Skills Hub United Kingdom, Honey Olawale, and the Executive Director of Leadership in Obscurity Network Colorado Springs United States, Jerry Vreeman, who are organisers of the event.
According to them, outstanding businesses and individuals will be honoured at the retreat which will hold at the World Trade Center in Accra, Ghana, from July 27th-29th, 2023.
The Minister for Trade and Industry, Republic of Malawi, Simplex Chithyola, will be the keynote speaker at the event which has its theme as “Networking: A tool for business expansion in Africa”.
Other guest speakers include the Director, Global Skills Hub United Kingdom, Honey Olawale; and the Executive Director of Leadership in Obscurity Network Colorado Springs United States, Jerry Vreeman; 2021 Ghana Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Anastasia Acquah, and former President, Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Dr Bassey Edem, among others.
The statement read in part, �For many years, African business leaders have had to travel outside the continent to attend business summits and conferences. Unfortunately, this has caused many business owners in Africa and their staff to miss out on a format where they can discuss the way forward for African businesses. It is with great pleasure that Global Skills Hub United Kingdom and LION Outreach International United States have partnered to bring an annual business summit that will always take place within the African continent.
�This event will comprise a business summit, exhibition, and award, which will be a significant event for all Africans to look forward to. Hosting this event in Africa will give investors, business owners, and stakeholders the privilege to discuss and channel pathways for the upliftment of the African business sector.
�Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their products and services during the three-day event. In addition to these, awards will be presented to outstanding businesses, individuals, and leaders as a token of appreciation for their contributions to society.
