NASS Complex won�t be ready till August – FCDA

The Federal Capital Development Authority, has said that the renovation of the National Assembly Complex, will not be completed until August 2023.

This is even as stakeholders had mounted pressure on the FCDA to complete the renovation of the complex before the inauguration of the 10th Assembly in June.

Recall that the renovation project of the National Assembly complex had been awarded to Messrs Visible Construction Nigeria Limited in 2021, for N30.2billion, with a completion date of August 15, 2023.

However, the Executive Secretary, FCDA, Engr. Shehu Ahmad, during a press briefing in his office on Wednesday, explained that the enormity of work required for a world-class parliament building required that it should not be rushed, to avoid past mistakes, deliver excellent and lasting results to permanently resolve the challenges of leaky roofs and inconvenient sitting arrangements, among others.
